Associate Director - Leveraged Finance Execution-2 page is loaded Associate Director - Leveraged Finance Execution-2 Apply remote type Office locations Texas time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id R0062368 Description Summary: The Associate Director - Leveraged Finance Execution, in conjunction with Huntingtons Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Sponsor Coverage, evaluates credit opportunities, mitigates associated risks, structures, and underwrites leveraged finance transactions for Huntingtons private equity and corporate clients across multiple specialty industry and client coverage groups, delivering the Banks balance sheet capital commitments in support of these transactions. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the execution of sponsor and leveraged financing transactions, including managing time critical due diligence and underwriting activities for sophisticated clients. Activities include deal screening and structuring, credit approvals, as well as negotiating credit agreement and other legal documentation. Coordinate with the Head of Leveraged Finance Execution Team, Credit Officer for Leveraged Lending, Regional Credit Officers, Capital Markets, Sponsor Coverage, and Investment Banking to ensure proper identification and mitigation of market and credit risk for those transactions, protecting the Bank from credit loss. Utilize knowledge of syndicated loan market and general capital market trends, in providing training and, on as needed basis, front end guidance to less experienced colleagues. Partner with the Capital Markets and relevant product groups to deliver competitive financing solutions to our clients and private equity relationships. Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners. Stay current on market developments and sponsor financing structures and terms to ensure competitive positioning of Huntington in the market. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree Minimum of 5 years professional experience in Leveraged Finance, including a comprehensive understanding of leveraged finance markets and trends, financial analysis, risk evaluation, and the legal and regulatory landscape Preferred Qualifications: Leveraged deal underwriting and execution experience, with an expertise in senior bank financing along with a working knowledge of other financing & capital structure alternatives such as 2nd lien, subordinated, unitranche, and high yield debt. Solid analytical and judgment skills, along with deep experience evaluating and mitigating credit risk. Adept at understanding and negotiating complex credit agreements and other legal documentation in coordination with internal legal team, external counsel, and financial sponsors. Employs a highly collaborative one-team approach, with proven ability to work across lines of business and product groups to deliver competitive solutions.
