Location: Wellesley MA Type: Full time Posted: 10 Days Ago Requisition ID: R0013926 THE OPPORTUNITY The Associate Director assists in managing Graduate Student Life & Leadership operations and serves as the primary advisor for Graduate Student Clubs and Organizations. The role involves supporting programs and resources vital to the student life experience of Babson Graduate Students and acting as the main liaison for issues related to student-led events and campus resources for students, faculty, and staff involved in co-curricular activities. WHAT YOU WILL DO Develop and implement student leader advising strategies and leadership training models for graduate students. Collaborate with the Director to create co-curricular learning opportunities, including leadership labs and professional development experiences. Manage the graduate workshop program, including strategic planning, assessment, and possibly supporting contracts and budgets. Assist with onboarding new students and support orientation activities. Participate in cross-functional groups, potentially leading projects to enhance graduate student services. Coordinate with colleagues to deliver co-curricular events such as Red Sox night and MBA pub nights. Oversee approximately 30 Graduate Student Organizations, including program development, budgeting, and compliance with risk management policies. Manage budgets and disbursements for student organizations. Coordinate with campus offices to maximize resource use for student initiatives. Support planning and execution of signature traditions like Grad Formal and International Dinner. Handle departmental operations, including email monitoring, informational displays, and communications. Manage online systems used by Graduate Student Life and Leadership. Participate in strategic planning for various programs and events such as Founders Fest and Grad Rejuvenation. Serve as a secondary liaison to other campus offices and committees related to student life. Manage the office in the absence of the Director and assume additional responsibilities as needed. YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDE Student Workers and Graduate Assistants WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED Master’s Degree in Higher Education or equivalent experience 6-8 years of experience in higher education Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Strong creative thinking and willingness to explore new approaches Proven effectiveness working with diverse populations Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to take on new tasks and projects Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK Some late-night and weekend work may be required. ADDITIONAL SKILLS YOU MAY HAVE Experience with student clubs, organizations, adult learners, graduate students, or commuter populations is a plus.
