Your role at Clorox:

The Associate Director, Fulfillment Operations will report to the Director of Fulfillment and play a critical role in driving operational excellence across our US and Canada distribution networks. This role will lead the development and execution of standardized warehouse practices, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives for efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Associate Director will support strategic initiatives related to warehouse automation and fulfillment execution, providing subject matter expertise in warehouse layout and process design. They will also contribute to the development of fulfillment strategy and commercial agreements, supporting the long-term success of Clorox's logistics operations.

In this role, you will:

People & Organizational Leadership:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for day-to-day fulfillment operations across multiple distribution centers, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Director of Fulfillment in strategic workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning to ensure long-term organizational capability.
  • Drive team capability building through structured training, coaching, and performance management aligned with Clorox's leadership expectations.
  • Champion best practices and knowledge sharing across sites to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a change leader, guiding teams through transformation initiatives and evolving business needs with clarity and resilience.

Operational Excellence:

  • Drive execution of standardized work processes and performance metrics to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency across fulfillment operations.
  • Define and implement the standard for distribution center design and operating model, ensuring alignment with Clorox's fulfillment strategy and operational best practices.
  • Clarify and optimize roles and responsibilities between third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and internal teams to enhance accountability and execution.
  • Analyze operational data and KPIssuch as order cycle time, inventory accuracy, and cost per caseto identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the execution of the Ship Order sub-process of OTC, ensuring alignment with customer policies and compliance with the ICC control plan.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive measurable gains in service, cost, and productivity.
  • Ensure operational readiness and scalability to support evolving business models, including automation and direct-to-consumer fulfillment.

Strategic Support:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in warehouse layout, automation, and material flow design to support capital projects and network expansion.
  • Provide thought leadership in fulfillment operations, contributing to long-term capability building and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Legal to evaluate and improve commercial agreements with 3PLs and logistics vendors.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Planning, Transportation, IT, and Customer Service to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain execution.
  • Translate strategic objectives into operational execution plans that drive measurable improvements in cost, service, and quality.

What we look for:

  • 10+ years in warehouse or fulfillment operations, including 5+ in leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Led multi-site distribution across U.S./Canada; managed large-scale 3PL partnerships and outsourced DCs.
  • Expertise in warehouse design, layout optimization, and process engineering in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and upskill high-performing teams.
  • Experience in CPG, retail, or similarly complex supply chain networks.
  • Background in warehouse automation (AS/RS, robotics, conveyors).
  • Familiar with DTC fulfillment and omnichannel logistics.
  • Supported/led network optimization and capital investment initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills; adept at stakeholder management.
  • Deep knowledge of WMS, inventory control, and fulfillment processes.
  • Skilled in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement; Green/Black Belt certified.
  • Proficient in Power BI, Tableau, SQL; familiar with SAP EWM, Manhattan WMS.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills for senior leadership engagement.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $153,700 - $309,000

Zone B: $140,900 - $283,300

Zone C: $128,100 - $257,500

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox's incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
