Timeframe: 52 Weeks
Shift: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Regular Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Executive Director of Facilities and Operations and AVP, Facilities and Capital Planning.
Supervision Exercised: The Associate Director of Facilities & Operations will supervise University Facilities Operational departments to include but not limited to: Grounds, painters, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, and mechanics. In the absence of other Facilities and Operations management staff, the Associate Director of Facilities Operations may be asked to supervise other Facilities and Operations personnel on a temporary basis.
Salary: $89,000.00-$94,000.00 (Salary to commensurate with education and experience)

General Statement of Duties:

Under general administrative direction of the Executive Director of Facilities and Operations, this position is to provide leadership and direction; to plan, manage, and oversee the activities and operations of the Facilities & Operations department. Assist with operational planning, construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance of buildings, facilities and equipment.

The Associate Director will coordinate with Environmental Services department, and other facilities staff when assigned to large renovation or repair projects. The Associate Director, with oversite from the Executive Director of Facilities and Operations will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings and building systems. Duties will include scheduling of work and scheduling of staff who are assigned to routine preventive maintenance and construction projects. The Associate Director of Facilities Operations will assist with and make recommendations on equipment purchase and care, develop and manage area budgets, and order supplies and equipment.

Salary:

Salaries for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining agreements as well as state policies.
