We are seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Director of Development and Business Operations to join the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Houston, Texas. The Associate Director will lead business development and operational strategy for the Center for Healthcare Data, overseeing marketing, fiscal management, and overall operations. They will also support contract negotiations, supervise quality review, and HR activities. The ideal candidate should have experience working with researchers and academics involved in evaluation studies, business development, and management, with strong knowledge of policies and statutes related to healthcare data and research. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing business management and services. Key Responsibilities: Lead administrative functions including marketing, business development, and fiscal management. Supervise quality review activities. Monitor and manage budgets in collaboration with other managers. Participate in grant writing and contract negotiations. Manage relationships with agency and business partners, developing programs, policies, and activities. Support strategic planning efforts. Manage HR activities for direct reports, including recruitment, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and salary planning. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of state and federal policies related to healthcare data and research (preferred). Experience working with researchers and academics involved in evaluation studies (preferred). Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Business, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum Experience: Six (6) years of relevant experience. Experience in evaluation studies or implementation science is preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. Security Sensitive: This position may be security sensitive and is subject to Texas Education Code 51.215. Residency Requirement: Must reside and work in Texas.
