Associate Director, CMC Strategic Operations

General Summary: In this role you will have the responsibility to advance multiple cross-functional strategic initiatives within the Pharmaceutical Sciences organization. By partnering closely with Senior leaders both within and outside of department, you will propose strategic direction, gain endorsement, and execute upon aligned goals and objectives. The Associate Director is also responsible for comprehensive communication, including status reporting and alignment with departmental Leadership.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage high-priority initiatives that span multiple functions by defining goals, key milestones and reporting process Works closely with department leadership to continue to maximize process efficiency and align department goals and strategy Proactively identify areas of potential improvement, proposed solutions, and lead initiatives to execute on those solutions Independently lead cross-functional teams to advance strategic initiatives Develop agendas and manage cross-functional meetings to ensure decisions and action items are fully addressed Lead interactions with key partner lines to advance the goals of the function Report progress to leadership and other stakeholders on high-priority initiatives Contribute to development of high-impact communications and presentations Contributes to the best practices of Project Management & Strategic Operations to support the continued success and evolution of the department
Knowledge and Skills: In depth understanding of pharmaceutical sciences functional areas Experience in cross-functional execution including medium to large-scale projects Critical thought partner and proven ability to connect people and ideas to drive outcomes Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects at a given time, ensuring deadlines, budgets and status updates Developed communication skills and the ability to synthesize data and information into meaningful insights Ability to effectively set agendas and facilitate team meetings to the desired outcome in a timely manner Ability to effectively communicate progress, build consensus and alignment Excellent written and oral communication skills Pro-active self-starter; results-oriented and ability to work independently Strong interpersonal, collaboration and demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to quickly establish credibility, rapport, and trust at all levels in order to influence across teams.
Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree in scientific, engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 8 years relevant CMC pharmaceutical development, operational,  and/or project management work experience or other relevant experience.
In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select On-Site : work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
