Associate Director, Clinical Services
Essential duties and responsibilities of the Associate Director, Clinical Services include:
- Responsible for managing, supervising, and ensuring that the team, prevention educators, prevention educators/counselors, mental health task sharers, and college interns effectively carry out their assigned tasks
- Provides training, coaching, and leadership support to the prevention staff
- Works with and drives the team to produce positive outcomes, notably pathway management, to ensure seamless referral, practice, and follow-through
- Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive outreach & marketing plans for RiseBoro Education's Clinical community relations activities to promote growth and retention, including advertising, social media, direct mail, product enhancement and development, and benefit design
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Community Development Coordination
- Identify key community organizations and coordinates efforts to participate, educate and promote the health plan presence within the community
- Develop and implement programs, such as health and wellness initiatives, for each region to generate media coverage
- Conduct presentations, outreach activities, and other informational events under currently approved communication and marketing programs and key stakeholder regulations
- Work with the Prevention Coalition Coordinators and the Director of Clinical Services to develop person-centered and strengths-based referral pathways for participants to engage in supportive services and post-intervention aftercare
- Support the entire clinical team in the development and sustenance of relationships with key community groups to provide robust pathways to prevention and clinical services
- Participate in planning and implementation of outreach strategies and programs in conjunction with RiseBoro Education Clinical Team
- Participate in selected committees and project teams
- Recruits, develops, and motivates staff
- Observes and evaluates performance metrics and utilizes performance improvement instruments (as indicated) to coach staff toward excellence
- Approves schedule adjustment requests, timesheets, and PTO (Vacation and Sick Time)
- Responsible for meeting all administrative requirements including monitoring weekly activity plans, results reports, ongoing continuous quality improvement needs assessments, expense reports, budget spending and attending team and organization meetings
- Represent RiseBoro's Education division in a manner consistent with stated company values
- Set team goals and track progress. Monitor yearly and monthly goals for the Clinical Team
- Support RBs fundraising efforts by providing accurate and timely information to key stakeholders
- Schedule and conduct presentations with potential and current partnering organizations
- Identify needed resources and devise a plan(s) to secure resources (program sites, space, and supplies as necessary)
- Plan and conduct professional development for the Clinical Team
- Conduct classroom observation and provide feedback for the Clinical Team
- Work with Data Analyst to present findings to stakeholders, community, and conferences
- Work with all clinical team members to develop person-centered and strength-based referral pathways for all clinical programs
- Provide direct support and task management for all clinical team staff
- Complete monthly reports and quarterly reports as indicated
- Enter OASAS data into Web Infrastructure for Technology (New York) Services (WITNYS) as indicated
- Support the Clinical Director and Director of Operations with the management of prevention budgets and project reports
- Monitor programmatic outcomes under the annual work plan for the clinical team
- Attend monthly check-ins with OASAS for all OASAS-funded programs
- Understand and comply with RBs personnel practices and policies and ensure that staff is compliant
- Attend internal and external meetings as requested or required
- Provide effective and thoughtful leadership by building strong relationships across clinical teams and stakeholders of all levels
- Contribute to the vision and motivation of the clinical team collectively and individually
- Perform other related duties as necessary and assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Assist Director of Clinical Services with recruitment, job descriptions, conducting interviews, hiring, and onboarding
- Complete staff evaluations and conduct intentional and proactive quarterly evaluations based on lesson observations
- Assess and arrange for professional development opportunities for the clinical team and provide coaching support if needed
- Support in creating a cohesive, relationship-driven work environment
- Task manage prevention staff on the clinical team
- Assess and arrange for all training needs of the clinical team
Competencies:
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- Demonstrated ability to be an analytic and discerning decision-maker
- Capacity to prioritize and communicate key objectives necessary to achieve organizational goals to staff

- Good analytical skills
- Well-organized with a degree of initiative and judgment required to fulfill all job functions of this multi-faceted position successfully
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member
- Requires the ability to interact professionally and effectively with management, internal staff, and external stakeholders
- Driven and enthusiastic and experience with cross-institutional collaborations is a plus
- Ability to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communities
- Have a demonstrated commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g., people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice involved persons, etc.)
Education Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience required
- Master's degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, Non-Profit Management, Public Administration, or a related field preferred, plus a minimum of one (1) year relevant professional experience required
