United States | Posted 2025-01-30 Position Title: Associate Director, Business Development, Research Services, West Coast Job Scope: This Business Development (Senior) Manager is responsible for identifying and building new customer relationships to achieve year-over-year new customer acquisition and pipeline growth targets for Wuxi Biologics' Global Biologics Research Division. The role focuses on new business generation through proactive outreach, maintaining existing client relationships, and collaborating closely with the marketing team. Essential Job Functions: Generating new business from new customers through extensive outreach, including customer visits and networking activities. Demonstrating strong technical knowledge and effectively promoting WuXi Biologics' capabilities and specialties, providing solution-based consultative selling to meet customer needs. Maintaining existing customer relationships through trust and high-quality support. Collaborating with marketing, project managers, and production teams to develop strategies for customer acquisition and retention. Gathering market intelligence through industry trend analysis, including pricing and competition. Analyzing competitors' activities to inform strategic planning. Performing other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Master's degree required; PhD or MBA preferred. Experience in sales or business development is advantageous. Background in antibody drug discovery, recombinant protein expression & purification, and knowledge of downstream pre-clinical assays is preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships with customers and stakeholders, including conflict management skills. Strong influence, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to translate strategy into action. High energy, self-motivated, and driven for continuous improvement. Strong team player.
