Position Overview: The ADON supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in managing and supervising the nursing department, ensuring quality resident care, compliance with state/federal regulations, and effective staff development. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving excellence in long-term and post-acute care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the DON in planning, developing, and directing nursing services.
Supervise nursing staff and ensure consistent, high-quality resident care.
Monitor infection control practices, quality measures, and resident outcomes.
Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
Provide education, training, and mentorship to nursing staff.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident experience and clinical outcomes.
Participate in staff scheduling, evaluations, and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Current RN license in Maryland, in good standing.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care or post-acute setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations (CMS, DOH, etc.).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Compassionate and dedicated to resident-centered care.
