We’re seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Engagement Director to lead programs and experiences that enrich the lives of our residents and foster a vibrant community environment. Position Summary The Engagement Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive life enrichment and activity program that meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of our residents. This leader will build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure an engaging, inclusive, and joyful community experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, plan, and oversee a dynamic monthly calendar of recreational, educational, and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
Foster a warm, engaging environment that encourages participation and promotes resident well-being.
Collaborate with the care team to support individual engagement needs and personalized activity plans.
Coordinate special events, outings, volunteer programs, and intergenerational activities.
Build relationships with residents and families to gather feedback and continually improve programming.
Manage engagement staff and volunteers, providing leadership, training, and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with all state regulations and company policies regarding resident activities.
Partner with the dining, wellness, and care teams to deliver holistic resident experiences.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, budgets, and supplies for engagement programs.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of Management Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in senior living, recreation therapy, or activity programming.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, resident-first approach.
Creativity, enthusiasm, and ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of dementia-friendly and person-centered programming preferred.
Must meet state requirements for activity program leadership (where applicable).
