Nevada Athletics Compliance is accepting applications for an Assistant or an Associate Athletics Director, Compliance Services. The Athletics Compliance Services unit is responsible for tracking and monitoring the University of Nevada, Reno's Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) compliance program as outlined by the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) and appropriate conference rules for student-athletes, coaches, athletics staff and administration, donors, and the University community. Incumbents are responsible for managing the rules education program for ICA and all institutional staff members. Positions coordinate the foundation of rules education and program monitoring which allows the University, especially the President, to have confidence in all ICA actions pertaining to NCAA and conference rules. Positions report to the Sr. Associate Athletics Director, Intercollegiate Services.

The Assistant/Associate Athletics Director, Compliance, is responsible for overseeing the initial and continuing eligibility of all University student-athletes while managing the timely submission of required NCAA and conference documentation including GSR, APR, and squad lists. This position oversees the distribution and compliance of all university athletics scholarships as it relates to NCAA sponsored sports and leads the development and implementation of comprehensive rules education programs. The incumbent conducts investigations for suspected rules violations, serves as the athletics compliance liaison with various on-campus departments, and manages the interpretation and waiver request process related to NCAA rules. Additionally, this role involves implementing and monitoring Name, Image, and Likeness policies as outlined in NCAA and Nevada state law and also assisting with revenue sharing policies and providing supervisory responsibilities over lower level staff and student intern positions when filled.

Required Qualifications:

Assistant Athletics Director - Bachelor's Degree and four years of related professional work experience; OR a Master's Degree and two years of related professional work experience.

Related Experience: Experience interpreting NCAA rules and athletics compliance activities.

Associate Athletics Director - Bachelor's Degree five years of related professional work experience; OR a Master's Degree and three years of related professional work experience.

Related Experience: Experience interpreting NCAA rules and athletics compliance activities, experience in NIL regulations and revenue sharing payouts.

Compensation Grade: Administrative Faculty C

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees

The University is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits, but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50% of their financial support from the employee and/or employee's spouse or domestic partner.
