: Required Qualifications
Certification : Board Certified MFM Specialist
Work Experience :
Must have 5 years of experience as a maternal-fetal medicine physician.
Completion of a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship and must be clinically active in their current practice.
Must also demonstrate clinical and scholarly expertise in maternal fetal medicine by publication of original research in peer reviewed journals within the past three years, including one of the following:
Extramural peer-reviewed funding.
Invited or research presentation(s) at regional/national/international scientific or faculty development meeting(s) (primary presenter, co-presenter, co-investigator, or senior author)
Participation in national or international committees or educational organizations
Job Duties
Management of high-risk service one week in six.
Maintain an MFM ambulatory service. Interpret obstetrical ultrasounds.
Perform obstetrical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. These patient-care duties may involve the attending physician only, or they may involve training medical students, residents, or fellows. Generally, support the other clinical and service activities of the Medical School.
Teach by giving lectures as assigned to faculty, fellows, residents or students.
Teaching in clinics and inpatient service of residents, fellows and medical students.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair or the Director of the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division.
Innovative in the realm of education who will continue to aid in the program’s evolution into a premier fellowship.
