Reports To: Plant Manager/VP of Operations

Status: Full time, exempt

Location: Raymond, WA (on-site) with up to 20% travel

Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000/yr depending on experience and interview outcome

Position Summary:

We are seeking an adaptable and solution-oriented individual to serve as the Assistant Plant Manager at our Raymond, WA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and, in some cases, leading operations. This person will play a critical role in overseeing daily production, supporting logistics coordination, driving safety excellence, implementing new procedures, and training team members. You will ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, all while reinforcing Tidal Vision's Mission Driven Culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Direct daily production activities to ensure throughput, quality, and efficiency goals are met.
  • Monitor production output, downtime, yield, and inventory flow.
  • Coordinate raw material flow and finished product staging in partnership with logistics and supply chain.
  • Maintain accurate batch records, production documentation, and internal reporting.
  • Support plant scheduling to align production capacity with sales demand.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Logistics & Fleet Support:

  • Assist in coordination of inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.
  • Support tanker and tote loading operations to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Partner with logistics teams to maintain smooth product movement between facilities.
  • Assist in oversight of fleet readiness, DOT compliance, and driver coordination when needed.

Safety, Quality & Environmental Compliance:

  • Champion a strong safety-first culture across all production areas.
  • Ensure all employees and contractors follow PPE requirements and site safety protocols.
  • Support OSHA compliance, internal audits, and safety training initiatives.
  • Lead CMMS utilization and operational workflows, driving successful system implementation within team environments.
  • Assist with hazard mitigation, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and internal sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain product standards and address deviations.

Training & Procedure Implementation:

  • Train new employees on plant operations, safety standards, and SOPs.
  • Develop and implement new operational procedures and job aids.
  • Standardize work practices to improve consistency and accountability.
  • Support rollout of Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead implementation of new systems, process updates, and production improvements.

Team Leadership & Culture:

  • Assist with employee development, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and mission-driven work environment.
  • Promote cross-departmental communication and problem-solving.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce development initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
  • Must have working knowledge of industrial safety programs (OSHA) and regulatory compliance (OMRI, ORCAA, etc.).
  • Must be willing to travel nationwide up to 20%.
  • Must be willing to start your day at 5 a.m. and work until the day is done.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing SOPs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Licensing & Special Requirements:

  • Subject to a criminal background check.

Working Conditions:

Primarily on-site at our Raymond production facility. The work will primarily be performed within a warehouse environment, and you must adhere to all company safety standards, including wearing required PPE. You should be able to: work in temperature-variable, humid, and odorous environments; lift and carry up to 65 pounds; and perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
