Job Summary
Assistant Nurse Director / 40 Hours Day Shift / 10BCD Neuroscience Intermediate BWH
The Assistant Nurse Director will be responsible for:
- Directing, planning, and coordinating the service activities and staffing performance of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel in rendering quality patient care. May provide direct patient care.
- Ensuring the development, implementation, and evaluation of staff onboarding, training, and education.
- Providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback for staff.
- Ensures a positive work environment that is safe for patients, visitors and staff.
- Coordinating unit activities with other hospital departments of the hospital
- Developing and implementing staffing plans.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing required. Master's Degree Nursing preferred
Experience
- Must have 6-8 years current Neuroscience Intermediate experience required.
- Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years (Nurse Manager, Nurse In Charge, Assistant ND) preferred.
- Assistant ND experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to clinical excellence.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
