The Assistant Director of Admissions Operations assists with the coordination of admissions record keeping, documents, and oversees special admission processes and programs for the Office of Admissions. This position manages the admission evaluators,which review undergraduate applications for admissibility, re-admissibility, andapplies all credits earned from outside institutions of higher learning andtest credits.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for management of admission evaluators to ensure that university admission practices are in accordance with university and IHL regulations
- Oversees special admission processes and programs.
- Counsels students and parents as needed regarding admissibility and university enrollment.
- Performs admissions-related functions for orientation participants, including but not limited to, communicating missing information to registrants, ensuring the accuracy of data, posting documentation needed for enrollment or course registration and monitoring admission statuses of all registrants.
- Participation in admission and recruitment events, answering admissions phone lines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. At least three years of experience working in admissions, data management, or academic record keeping in a collegiate environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to utilize a PC and keyboard to perform data entry
- Ability to adapt to an environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues.
Preferred QualificationsMasters degree or higher from an accredited college or university. At least five years of experience working in admissions, data management, or academic record keeping in a collegiate environment.
