The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-quality, holistic nursing care, while also leading licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the DON with planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the residence, and as may be directed by the Executive Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Assisted Director of Nursing Qualifications
· Must possess a current and active license to practice as an LPN/LVN or Registered Nurse (RN) in this state.
· Must have, as a minimum, 1 year of experience in nursing. Two years of experience in a long-term care facility is preferred.
Assisted Director of Nursing Knowledge Requirements
· Must have experience in supervision, principles, and practice of teaching, etc.
· Must possess skills in leadership and communication.
· Must possess creativity, integrity, and initiative.
· Must be able to provide critical thinking skills to address clinical issues.
