Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) A respected long-term care facility in the Albany region is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support clinical leadership and help ensure the highest standards of resident care. Key Responsibilities: Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in overall clinical and administrative management
Conduct regular wound and skin care rounds
Promote compliance with nursing standards and ensure effective communication across the nursing team
Assist in planning, staffing, and coordinating nursing services
Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new nursing staff
Maintain infection control protocols and oversee daily staffing operations
Respond to urgent clinical needs with a flexible and responsive approach (including on-call availability)
Ensure timely and accurate documentation in resident medical records
Help maintain staff education and professional development initiatives
Remain current in nursing practices and regulatory requirements
Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York
Minimum 3 years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
2 years of nursing management experience preferred
Experience in staff education is a plus
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Flexible schedule, including availability for on-call responsibilities
