Amsterdam Nursing Home - Amsterdam Nursing Home is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): Nurse Educator/Staff Development to join our team at our facility in Manhattan, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver clinical education and training for staff, ensuring compliance with NYSDOH and facility standards
Assess and enhance staff competencies via coaching, mentoring, audits, and performance evaluations
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices
Evaluate and improve staff competencies and performance
Ensure Quality Assurance for all nursing staff and practices
Offer mentorship and professional development opportunities
Collaborate with facility leadership to enhance patient care quality
Lead staff onboarding orientations
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure nursing excellence
Develop and track staff development programs on topics such as infection control, body mechanics, emergency preparedness and OSHA standards
Maintain training records, report on program outcomes, and stay current through workshops, publications and professional networks
Essential Requirements:
Current New York State RN license in good standing
BSN Required, MSN/MAN preferred
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Nurse Educator or in clinical staff development (long-term care preferred)
Proven ability to create and deliver engaging education, with strong coaching and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication; adept at building rapport across all levels
CPR certification required (CPR trainer certification preferred)
Rate
$130,000-$140,000/year depending on fit and relevant experience.
