About the Role

The Assistant Director of Finance assists the Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the hotel's operation and to ensure that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed, and to supervise the day-to-day operation of the Accounting office. We are seeking individuals who are warm, hospitable and start with the heart.

What You Will Do

1. Assist the Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the resort's operation.
2. Ensure that all local and corporate policies and procedures are observed, and met.
3. Lead, supervise, and direct the ongoing operation of the Accounting staff and work interdepartmentally to achieve hotel objectives.
4. Excellent understanding of Month-End Process including, but not limited to, preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries.
5. Maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats.
6. Create ad hoc reports regarding month end and communicate with resort owners as required.
7. Forecast and budget for monthly/annual results of the resort operation as required.
8. Conduct weekly labor meetings to ensure accountability towards staffing guides and labor cost management.

What You Bring

• Excellent understanding of Month-End Process including, but not limited to, preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries, maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals.
• Great attention to detail along with a continuous innovation of daily working of the Finance team under the direction of the Director of Finance.
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal
• University degree major in accounting or finance preferred
• Three to five years of experience in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
