Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Facility Operations, the Assistant Director of Facilities will be responsible for ensuring all CSS properties and vehicles are safe, functional, and well-maintained for participants and staff.
Facilities Management:
Overseeing daily operations of the facilities department, including supervising maintenance staff.
Prioritizing and ensuring timely repair of non-emergency issues (e.g., plumbing, lighting, appliances).
Responding to emergency repairs affecting property or resident safety and security.
Assisting with the coordination and scheduling of preventative maintenance and capital improvement projects.
Identifying and monitoring qualified contractors for various services (HVAC, fire alarms, security, landscaping, etc.) and approving invoices.
Maintaining comprehensive repair and maintenance records for each property in the CMMS system, including accommodations and contacts.
Keeping files on operating procedures and maintenance requirements for CSS property and equipment.
Conducting inspections and providing reports on maintenance and repairs.
Helping to create a comfortable, homelike environment in residences and providing household maintenance training to direct support staff.
Monitoring, managing, and maintaining inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies.
Fleet Management:
Ensuring efficient completion of preventative maintenance on CSS vehicles by personnel.
Overseeing timely completion of vehicle repairs.
Assisting with identifying vehicles needing maintenance or replacement and determining vehicle requirements.
Supporting vehicle purchase processes.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of ten (10) years in residential or commercial maintenance or construction.
Five (5) years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
Proficiency with Google Workspace (email, docs, sheets, etc.) or Microsoft Office.
Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Background Check: Employment offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment background check.
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience.
