We are looking for an Assistant Director of Culinary to support the overall culinary vision and execution of NFP. This role works closely with the Director of Culinary to oversee daily operations, ensure consistency across all concepts, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. The ADOC also provides leadership and development to the culinary team, fostering innovation and operational excellence.
Leadership Focus
Culinary Leadership and Operations
• Oversee day to day culinary operations across multiple NFP locations, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
• Lead menu execution and consistency, working with chefs and kitchen managers to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Drive culinary innovation by contributing ideas for menu development, seasonal offerings, and new concepts.
Team Development, Quality and Compliance
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while upholding brand standards and adapting to concept needs.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of culinary staff at all levels.
• Mentor and develop chefs and kitchen leaders to promote growth, engagement, and retention.
• Ensure all kitchens adhere to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain consistency in recipes, portioning, and presentation standards across all outlets.
Financial and Resource Management
• Partner with leadership to monitor food and labor costs, ensuring budgets are met while maintaining quality.
• Oversee vendor relationships, product sourcing, and inventory management.
• Identify efficiencies in purchasing, production, and labor utilization.
Collaboration and Strategy
• Work closely with the Director of Culinary on strategic planning, long term culinary initiatives, and expansion projects.
• Partner with operations and leadership teams to align culinary execution with overall business goals.
• Support cross functional initiatives including marketing, training, and guest experience programs.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, ideally in multi unit or high volume operations.
• Proven ability to manage culinary operations while maintaining high standards of food quality and cost control.
• Strong leadership and people development skills with a passion for mentoring future culinary leaders.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
• Creative, collaborative, and solutions oriented with strong organizational skills.
