Assistant Director Of International Admissions The Assistant Director of International Admissions oversees all aspects of international student admissions processes, communication, and procedures. This position oversees the international admissions team and serves as a designated school official. In collaboration with the AVP for International Education, this position is responsible for recruitment activities, including but not limited to agent relationships, partnership development, virtual recruitment, and international student fairs. Position Accountabilities In collaboration with the AVP for International Education, develop a recruitment plan as part of a 3-5-year plan to increase international enrollment to over 600 students. Oversee 2 international admission counselors and student worker staff, holding staff accountable to set and achieve admission goals. Enhance the communication plan to prospective students in collaboration with other international admission counselors, which includes email, phone, and social media communication when appropriate. Manage virtual orientations and mock interview sessions for admitted students. Serve as one of three contact owners for student leads, processing leads from inquiry to enrollment. Enhance the application process to ensure an efficient turnaround time for international students of 1-2 weeks from application to admission. Develop and maintain relationships with key current international students through the coordination of the International Student Ambassador Program. Update and maintain relevant and attractive paper-based and virtual internationally focused marketing materials and publications. Develop strong relationships with departments across campus to better promote Park University academic programs. Provide quality advising services by attaining a high level of understanding and proficiency in federal regulations governing F-visa requirements to ensure the maintenance of students' lawful nonimmigrant status. Travel for about 3-4 weeks per year to international recruitment events and activities, including visits with agents, high schools, student recruitment fairs, and meetings with other appropriate partners. Explore, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with agents, universities, high school counselors, and others. Serve as DSO (Designated School Official) and make periodic updates in SEVIS as necessary. Complete other duties as assigned related to the services provided by International Education. Position Requirements Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred 3 years of experience working in international student recruitment or a related field Extensive experience working with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills, passion for international education, cross-cultural sensitivity, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Working knowledge of leadership principles and demonstrated application of organizational skills. Experience with Social media marketing and knowledge of new technologies is preferred. Willingness and ability to work evening and weekend hours, as needed. Knowledge of other languages preferred. A valid passport and/or the ability to travel at least 3-4 weeks per year Physical Requirements Physical ability to operate a computer, software, and telephone as needed. Ability to navigate facilities with no elevators, as needed to meet with faculty, staff, and/or students. Ability to lift or move equipment/materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without accommodation. Ability to work for extended periods outdoors or at a computer workstation, office chair, etc. Ability and willingness to pick up and deliver materials around campus.
