Pay Range Information

Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Director of Disability Services, the Assistant Director supports the development, implementation, and assessment of the department's vision and mission, and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and services, including CART, Books in Alternative Format, Notetaking, Accommodated Testing, and Otter.ai license management.

This position supervises a team of professional and support staff and maintains a caseload of students, providing intake, accommodation planning, and case management. As a campus-wide resource, the Assistant Director collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators to implement accommodations and resolve accessibility concerns, with particular oversight of the law school's accommodated exam process.

The Assistant Director also partners with the Director and fellow Assistant Director to develop and deliver training programs, presentations, and campus initiatives aimed at increasing disability awareness and promoting inclusive practices. This position requires strong knowledge of disability laws, experience in student support and supervision, and a demonstrated commitment to fostering an accessible and inclusive campus environment.
