The Opportunity The Assistant Director, Annual Giving, plays a critical role in advancing donor engagement, retention, and acquisition strategies at UCF. This position holds a portfolio of projects and campaigns designed to deepen philanthropic participation, strengthen affinity among alumni, students, parents, faculty, and staff, and drive sustainable annual support. The role requires creativity, collaboration, and an ability to translate data into actionable engagement strategies. Responsibilities Plan, execute, and evaluate direct marketing campaigns to increase donor retention, reactivation, and acquisition. Manage timelines, deliverables, and cross-team collaboration. Maintain accurate constituent data across platforms. Create appeal codes, build giving forms, and update campaign trackers and project management tools. Respond to donor texts and front-line communications, serving as a liaison to Records & Gifts to ensure accurate donor messaging and appeal alignment. Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing crowdfunding campaigns. Provide guidance to stakeholders, ensure consistency with brand standards, and measure campaign impact. Support engagement initiatives including young alumni, student, parent, and faculty/staff philanthropy efforts throughout the year. Partner with the Director to prepare campaign recaps, analyze results, and contribute to strategic planning. Lead assigned special projects that advance divisional goals. Contribute to documentation, planning, and team-wide collaboration to enhance efficiency and knowledge-sharing. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6). Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience with direct marketing strategies and digital engagement campaigns (email, texting, social media, crowdfunding). 2+ years of relevant experience in annual giving, nonprofit fundraising, higher education, marketing, communications, public relations, or related fields. Strong data management and reporting skills, including familiarity with CRM systems such as Blackbaud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar. Demonstrated success in planning and implementing donor engagement initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a donor-centered approach. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Creative problem-solver who brings new ideas for donor engagement and loyalty building. Comfort with a fast-paced environment and adapting to shifting priorities. The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $56,030 - $68,637. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience.
