We're hiring Assistant Directors and Group Teachers for our Before and After School Program at Port Allegany Elementary School in Port Allegany, PA.
JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
PAY: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring Compliance: Monitor and ensure that all program activities and staff behavior align with state regulations, Healthy Kids protocols, and the expectations set by our school partner.
Making It Fun: Lead exciting, hands-on experiences inspired by the Healthy Kids Curriculum think fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and more. Plus, be the go-to person for homework support your inner homework hero will shine!
Running Operations Smoothly: Oversee daily operational tasks, such as maintaining up-to-date attendance and enrollment documentation, and making sure staffing levels meet program needs.
Keeping Families Connected: Use the Playground App to maintain regular and open communication with parents and guardians.
Teamwork & Leadership: Keep your supervisor informed on daily happenings, collaborate on problem-solving, and support a team culture focused on quality care and a positive environment.<BR>
Administrative Assistance: Help the Director with light administrative duties when necessary to ensure smooth overall operations.
REQUIREMENTS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Have at least two years of experience working with children under age 13.
Able to meet medical fitness requirements, including being free of communicable diseases such as tuberculosis.
Youre approachable, energetic, and dependable with great communication skills for engaging kids, parents, and coworkers alike.
Comfortable with the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs., and staying active alongside children.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:<BR>Option 1: Associate degree from an accredited institution in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or a human services-related field, along with two years of experience working with children.
OR
Option 2: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an associate degree in a qualifying field (early childhood education, child development, etc.), with two years of hands-on experience working with kids.
