Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance

The University of Evansville, a Division I member of the NCAA and the Missouri Valley Conference, is currently seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance.
This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of all sports performance programming for the University's athletic teams. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with sport coaches, athletic trainers, and other campus professionals to support the strength, conditioning, injury prevention, and overall performance of student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the Sports Performance staff and graduate assistants. Design and implement individualized strength and conditioning programs for assigned athletic teams, tailored to the specific needs of each sport. Coordinate and schedule team lift times. Oversee daily administrative tasks including inventory management and facility scheduling. Foster a collaborative environment with coaching staff to ensure performance programs align with team goals. Work closely with Sports Medicine staff to support student-athlete rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies. Maintain, organize, and ensure the safety and cleanliness of the Sports Performance Center. Educate student-athletes on proper nutrition, recovery methods, and injury prevention techniques. Remain up to date with current trends, techniques, and certifications in strength and conditioning. Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Department leadership. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of three years of experience in strength and conditioning or sports performance, preferably at the collegiate level. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and athletic teams. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
