Our client-a top-tier event planning studio known for its luxurious weddings and rising presence in the corporate space-is looking for a versatile temp to perm Art Production Director to join their creative team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, production, and storytelling, with a strong background in scenic environments, immersive set pieces, and technically sound builds. You'll be the visual problem-solver behind standout event experiences-concepting scenic elements, developing 3D renderings, and drafting production-ready files that guide everything from food station design to full-scale set builds. Whether it's a romantic ceremony backdrop or a branded corporate installation, you'll help turn vision into reality with precision and style.

Responsibilities:

Design scenic elements and custom event installations-both decorative and functional
Develop presentation-ready renderings and technical drawing packages for vendors and fabricators
Create files for fabrication using drafting software (Vectorworks or similar), including construction details
Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and build teams to ensure seamless execution
Work across weddings, brand events, and new corporate experiences
Manage visual assets, version control, and production specs with a high level of detail

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in scenic design, production design, or experiential event art
A portfolio that shows a range of design-from sketch to build
Comfort with tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, and CAD drafting software (Vectorworks preferred)
Experience with 3D visualization and rendering (AI tools like Midjourney a plus)
Strong illustration skills and a feel for romantic, atmospheric, or narrative visual styles
Excellent organizational skills, especially when juggling multiple timelines
A background in scenic fabrication, theater, or TV set design is a plus
