Position Summary:
As the Area Sales Director, you will oversee sales activities in the region to achieve volume, margin, and profit goals. You will work closely with District Sales Managers to coordinate sales efforts and manage sales personnel. Your responsibilities include hiring, training, and retaining sales staff, as well as controlling the sales budget and expenses for the region. Collaboration and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise associates, providing training, coaching, and performance management to ensure successful execution of sales plans
Lead sales activities, manage budgets, and participate in pricing decisions to maximize profit margins
Analyze regional business trends and communicate customer needs effectively
Develop action plans with DSMs to align with regional and company goals
Create local promotional activities and establish deals with merchandisers and brokers
Visit markets and customers regularly to identify opportunities and address performance issues
Promote customer satisfaction and develop business partnerships
Collaborate with senior management, operations, and merchandising to drive profitability
Hold regular sales meetings and maintain relationships with the Broker/Manufacturer community
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
5-7 years of experience in Sales, sales management, or field operations within the vending or foodservice industry.
