Duties
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients in accordance with their medical needs.
- Oversee the daily operations of nursing services within the facility, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Manage nursing staff schedules, including shift management to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care quality and implement improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including Medicare requirements.
- Provide education and support to nursing staff regarding best practices in patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages professional development among nursing staff.
- Strong knowledge of care plans and their implementation in various healthcare settings.
- Experience with Medicare regulations and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices and principles.
- Background in managing nursing homes or similar facilities is preferred.
- Excellent shift management skills to optimize staffing efficiency.
- In-depth understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Proven leadership abilities in nurse management roles, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
- Competence in acute care settings, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
