Job Overview: As a key member of the team, the Site Director will lead and supervise a team of teachers, ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly. This role involves creating a consistent and positive classroom culture, maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for both children and staff, and effective communication with school staff.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of teachers, overseeing day-to-day program operations.
Cultivate a consistent classroom culture for children and staff.
Ability to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all program participants.
Motivate staff, communicate program standards and procedures effectively.
Collaborate with school staff, solving problems and maintaining composure under stress.
Assure compliance with state and school guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and ensure the implementation of age-appropriate curriculum.
Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for children.
Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, school leaders, licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts for new families and children in our sites.
Use of assigned Google Voice number and email for parent communication.
Use of JackRabbit online attendance portal and student list login
Work in a discreet manner, maintaining confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff information
Assist in coordinating program supplies, snacks, and materials.
Maintain documentation of program activities and prepare reports as needed
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Key Requirements:
Must be 18+ years old with a high school diploma or higher.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to become certified.
Child care-related education background is preferred.
Minimum of 6 months of supervising experience within childcare is preferred.
Technology literacy and the ability to learn new programs.
Ability to motivate and engage children, managing behavioral challenges.
Capability to lift and move supplies to after-school sites.
Physical Requirements:
Light work with occasional lifting.
Prolonged work at a desk in one location.
Work Schedule: Please Note: This position will begin on August 12, aligning with the start of the upcoming new school year.
After-School Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Friday: 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM
