We are seeking someone to lead the Admissions Department and marketing efforts to grow and represent Cedarbrook to referral sources, evaluate and improve marketing strategies, supervise admissions coordinators, and collaborate with internal teams. The role also involves organizing marketing events and providing community feedback to administration.

Compensation:

  • Starting at $90,418 per year.

  • Candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience may be eligible for a higher salary, commensurate with their expertise.

Job Duties:

  • Manages the Admissions and Business Development Department, including personnel and system processes to ensure census development initiatives are met and referrals for admission are addressed.
  • Represents the facility before hospitals, the medical community, and potential referral sources. Evaluates and recommends refinements and changes in the marketing and business development plans.
  • Holds Admissions department staff accountable for assigned workload to achieve facility goals to ensure admissions referrals are addressed timely and appropriately. Also reviews admissions referrals with the team. Works interdepartmentally to ensure appropriate admissions processes are followed.
  • Manages internal electronic admissions/referral database to track and trend potential admissions. Utilizes other electronic referral systems and PointClickCare to ensure referrals are properly addressed from referral to admission to Cedarbrook.
  • Works interdepartmentally to develop new referral sources and attends community events. Makes recommendations to the administrator and the administrative team on how to more effectively position Cedarbrook in the community.
  • Home office is Cedarbrook Allentown with responsibility to travel to the Cedarbrook Fountain Hill campus, marketing events, home evaluations, and referral sources as needed. Hours are typical business hours, but must have flexibility to modify schedule to accommodate departmental activities, events, and/or emergencies.

Requirements:

  • The ability to drive to marketing events and referral sources and possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrable technological skills such as experience in electronic medical records and referral systems, comfort with mobile technology, and at least an intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Elevated oral and written communication skills, ability to work interdepartmentally, and comfort and confidence with dealing with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working under pressure and organizing systems while prioritizing demands.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times, including but not limited to: upholding regulatory, policy, and ethical standards; exhibiting respectful and effective communication with patients, families, and staff; and interacting with the community while representing Cedarbrook/Lehigh County according to the highest professional standards.
  • Ability to a read a clinical chart and understand insurance and financial criteria to perform an assessment for admission.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to direct and motivate a team.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field. A license as an RN or LPN in the state of Pennsylvania is helpful but not required. Experience in marketing and sales with a proven record of success and increasingly responsibilities.
  • Cedarbrook will consider candidates with a minimum of 2 years' experience at the Director level in Nursing Home Admissions or a related position, though 5 or more years of relevant experience is highly preferred. Extensive experience may be accepted in place of a bachelor's degree, and other combinations of skills and experience will also be taken into account.
