BHCC is seeking dynamic adjunct faculty to teach in the Visual Media Arts Department beginning Spring Semester between 01/23/2024-05/15/2024. Available course: VMA-130 Social Media Strategy (Mondays, In-person, 2:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.). In this course, students will explore techniques and strategies of social media marketing and public relations used to promote a company, individual, or product. Through case studies and exercises students will learn how to identify business objectives and how a marketing campaign is created. Students will learn to reach an audience through an integrated marketing approach that uses social media, online video, podcasts, mobile apps, blogs, news releases, viral marketing, marketing, print and other current tools and channels. Instructors will design and deliver course content aligned with program expectations and student needs. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required; Master's degree preferred. Commercial experience as a graphic designer preferred but not required. A portfolio of professional work demonstrating skills in design, typography, marketing, print or interactive/web production. Master's Degree in a related field preferred or substantial relevant experience. Commitment to advancing equity and access in the classroom. College teaching experience, especially at the community college level, preferred. Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
