Generations of Red Bay is actively seeking an energetic, creative, and patient individual to manage day-to-day activities with residents in the facility. The Activity Director position is full time and you must have a flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed. The Activity Director provides hands on involvement in programs during the residents scheduled times. Must be organized, self-motivated, creative, flexible, dependable, and have time management skills, as well as basic computer skills.

Qualifications: 1. Must be at least 18 years of age 2. Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy 3. Certification Preferred but can be achieved in house

Specific Requirements: 1. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. 2. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action, 3. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public. 4. Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel. 5. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning. 6. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activity services. 7. Must be able to relay information concerning a residents condition. 8. Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of the other individuals in the workplace.
