About the Role
As a CBRE Account Director, you will oversee a team responsible for delivering all key client commitments. The role focuses on coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization's goals and strategies.
What You’ll Do
- Provide formal supervision, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross‑train staff, set and track staff and department deadlines, and mentor and coach as needed.
- Consult with senior sales professionals to define complex project requirements, investigate various approaches, develop action plans for high‑potential risks, and ensure the team implements in a timely manner.
- Obtain and coordinate resources needed to service projects and build strategic operational plans.
- Manage sales relationships with large and high‑profile clients, identify latest sales opportunities, and improve within existing accounts.
- Review service level performance reports to ensure client service levels are met and exceeded.
- Troubleshoot escalated open issues and tasks, working closely with senior internal and client cross‑functional teams, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for key systems and processes.
- Direct client and project teams regarding scope of work, responsibilities, daily performance, and ongoing delivery against contractual obligations.
- Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, influence others, identify and solve technical and operational problems, and improve existing methods, processes, and standards.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 5‑8 years of relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Extensive organizational skills and advanced inquisitive mindset.
