Account Director (US)

As Account Director (US), you have ownership over your own dedicated client territory and sales strategy. Your role is to maximize ad revenue from your agency/client patch to the highest level. The sales territory will consist of clients and agencies looking for a gaming audience within our portfolio and games vertical in the US.

Working within the Games sales team, you will operate across many revenue streams. You will have the full spectrum of solutions to offer clients, including high-growth revenue streams such as first-party data segments, premium video, email, social, content partnerships, programmatic opportunities, and several digital broadcast events.

The Commercial team is responsible for the monetization of Future's properties (digital, video and print). The Commercial team follows a rigorous sales process that includes: lead sourcing, deadline management, research, and program delivery, from pitch stage to sold programs.

What you'll do:

  • Sell digital media, branded content, premium video, broadcast events, and programmatic solutions to advertising partners
  • Create and grow a pipeline that leads to closed revenue and quota attainment
  • Build trust while influencing buying decisions
  • Build an account strategy and territory plan
  • Understand the gaming category, be well networked among your patch of clients and agencies, and understand the priorities that guide decisions from the C-level.
  • Navigate the complex agency and brand landscape to reach decision makers
  • Understand client needs and present relevant solutions from our portfolio
  • Represent Future within the marketplace, with clients, and at industry functions
  • Work with company partners to add additional value and expertise
  • Be a positive addition to our work culture
  • Negotiate deals and understand complex client campaigns
  • Share successes, meetings, insights, and opportunities for growth as a team and company
  • Contribute to the sales team and overall Future's growth; be an advocate for the gaming vertical

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve:

  • You are passionate about the gaming industry.
  • 5+ years of media industry experience
  • Sales/Partnership experience
  • Existing client relationships (client and agency)
  • BA/BS degree
  • Experience and an understanding of digital media/video monetization products and trends, audience data and solutions-based approach.
  • Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities simultaneously
  • Insightful understanding of industry trends and revenue drivers.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and an ability to organize, prioritize, and clarify deliverables.
  • Experience with data and analysis orientation
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
  • Actively contribute to a positive work environment

What's in it for you:

The expected range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000

This is a Hybrid role from our New York Office, working three days from the office, two from home
