As a Creative Design Director, you will:

Be active in the development and mentoring of other designers within the unit. Commonly known as a high-level performer both in volume and level of excellence of work within the unit. Possesses the highest level of technical and creative skills and is known within the unit as a go-to resource for other designers. Information resource for supervisors and management, keeping them abreast of latest technologies, techniques, and trends. Also be asked to represent their unit by sitting on committees and task forces within the Institution. In addition, you can also be expected to lead teams on larger, more complicated projects including inter-divisional projects. Partner with the Art Director to establish and uphold the visual direction across key event types. Prepare press-ready files and oversee quality assurance for printed and digital materials.

The ideal candidate will have: Must have a thorough knowledge of typography, type design, form and color theory, proportion and balance, photographic and computer imaging techniques, electronic layout skills, exhibit/display knowledge and experience with unit specific software programs (see unit specific competencies). Mastery of industry-standard tools (Adobe Creative Suite—InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; After Effects for motion graphics; PowerPoint for program decks and visual presentations). Demonstrated experience designing high-impact, tailored proposals and pitch materials for philanthropic audiences.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range*: $75 - $78 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
