Arlo is seeking a Marketing Deputy Director who blends leadership with hands-on execution. This role will drive marketing strategy, manage a small team, and personally deliver tactical outputs such as campaigns, content, digital assets, and reporting. The Marketing Director will provide both vision and execution, ensuring that Arlo’s corporate brand, customer contract requirements, and business development efforts are fully supported. The role requires someone equally comfortable managing people and budgets as they are creating marketing collateral, running analytics, or updating digital channels.
Work Location:
Remote (Must be local to Washington DC Metro Area and be able to travel occasionally to the office and other domestic locations as business needs require)
Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Leadership
Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with corporate goals and contract requirements.
Provide direction to marketing staff while also contributing individual outputs.
Align marketing plans with executive leadership and business development.
Tactical Execution
Write, edit, and design marketing collateral including presentations, brochures, and case studies.
Manage and update digital platforms including website, intranet, and social media channels.
Build and distribute email campaigns, newsletters, and internal communications.
Track and report on campaign performance using data analytics tools.
Contract and Program Support
Deliver marketing products and communications required by contracts.
Support program managers with customer-facing content and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with branding and quality standards across all materials.
Team Management and Collaboration
Mentor and manage marketing staff.
Collaborate with business development, HR, and operations to support proposals, recruiting campaigns, and corporate initiatives.
Manage vendor and partner relationships for design, printing, or digital services.
Budget and Resource Management
Develop and manage the marketing budget.
Balance in-house execution with external vendor support.
Monitor ROI on campaigns and adjust resource allocation.
Education and Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Experience working in or with government contractors preferred.
Proven ability to both lead teams and produce individual deliverables.
Strong background in corporate marketing, communications, and digital marketing.
Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and digital marketing tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common marketing platforms.
Strong analytical skills and experience with performance metrics.
