Position Summary
The 340B Program Director oversees and manages the organization’s 340B Drug Pricing Program to ensure compliance with federal, state, and program regulations. This role involves program operations, monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement to maximize cost savings while maintaining the integrity of the 340B program. The 340B Program Director works collaboratively with internal departments, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure efficient and compliant program execution.
Key Responsibilities
Program Operations and Compliance
Oversee the daily operations of the 340B Drug Pricing Program, including purchasing, inventory, and patient eligibility processes.
Ensure the organization’s compliance with HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration) guidelines and federal 340B regulations.
Develop and maintain policies and procedures specific to the 340B program.
Conduct self-audits of the program, including contract pharmacies, to ensure ongoing compliance.
Prepare and lead the organization during HRSA and third-party 340 B audits.
Monitor changes in 340B regulations and communicate potential impacts to leadership.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
Analyze cost savings and revenue generated through the 340B program and provide regular reports to leadership.
Identify opportunities to optimize program benefits while adhering to compliance standards.
Maintain accurate records of all 340B transactions, including purchasing, inventory management, and audit documentation.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison with contract pharmacies, wholesalers, and software vendors.
Collaborate with pharmacy, finance, compliance, and clinical teams to integrate the 340B program effectively within the organization.
Provide education and training to staff regarding 340B program requirements and their roles in compliance.
Represent the organization in 340B-related forums, networks, and advocacy efforts.
Continuous Improvement
Evaluate program performance and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and cost savings.
Implement new technologies and processes to support the program’s success.
Stay informed on best practices and industry trends related to the 340B program.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, pharmacy, or a related field (required).
Advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, MBA, MPH) is .
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing or supporting a 340B program in a healthcare setting ().
Experience in pharmacy operations, compliance, or finance is highly desirable.
Proven experience with HRSA audits and regulatory compliance ().
Skills and Competencies
