Contract Type: 13-Week Travel (with option to convert to Permanent) OR Direct Permanent Placement
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8s | 40 hours per week
Compensation: $2,200/week
About the Opportunity
Connected Health Care, a leading recruitment and staffing firm, is proud to partner with a Critical Access Hospital in Lamesa, TX to identify a skilled and experienced Plant Operations Director . This role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned healthcare facilities leader seeking either a travel contract with the option to transition into a permanent leadership role—or to step directly into a full-time position.
As the Plant Operations Director, you will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the hospital’s physical plant, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and manage all aspects of plant operations and maintenance across hospital facilities.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (, CMS, Joint Commission, NFPA).
Oversee safety programs, life safety systems, utilities, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems .
Supervise and mentor the plant operations team.
Develop and maintain budgets, preventative maintenance schedules, and vendor contracts.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to ensure facilities support quality patient care and staff satisfaction .
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare facility leadership role within Plant Operations/Facilities Management.
Strong knowledge of building systems, life safety codes, and regulatory compliance requirements .
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred: CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) or related certification.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
