The Jorgensen Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic Youth & Family Program Director. The ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of the community. A successful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others. Qualifications Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but will consider an equivalent combination of education/work experience.

One to two years related leadership experience preferred.

Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.

Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm.

An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.

Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Ability to address large groups of people.

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Successfully complete within 60 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/O2 Certification, Bloodborne Pathogen training, Child

Abuse Prevention training, and all other required training as specified by your supervisor. Essential Functions Lead: Direct and supervise program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. Develop: Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations. Grow: Establish new program activities and expand programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
