Directs and supervises program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. Will provide staffing support for programming as needed. Establishes new program activities and expands programs within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information. May organize and schedule program registrations. May review and process program scholarship applications. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations. Develops and manages program budgets to meet fiscal objectives. Maintains inventory and recommends purchases as needed. Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events. Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events. Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. Participates in branch and association wide meetings and training. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs. Collaborates with the branch executive director and his/her management team to ensure the safe and responsible operation of the Y including rotating responsibilities for overall facility supervision and program coverage. Follows mandated reporting requirements. Communicates to all staff the organization's commitment to protecting their youth from abuse. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups and viewpoints from all social and economic segments of the organization and community. Association Responsibilities: Youth & Family Program Development: Assist in preparing, facilitating, and following up on PDT monthly meetings, ensuring smooth onboarding, communication, and progress tracking Increase engagement levels in amenities such as drop- in child watch through creation of daily curriculum schedules Ensure consistency and growth in special events geared toward families in all YMCA of Central Ohio communities served Establish framework for youth (0-17) programs to include pricing, naming, descriptions, curriculum, training, & enrollment benchmarks in the areas of STEAM, Creative Arts, Performance Arts, Tumbling/ Gymnastics, Leadership, etc) Manage Initial Training & Quality Assurance efforts in participant- reported growth in Belonging, Achievement, & Relationship outcomes Budget Entry & Monitoring: Enter, track, and report on program budget data to support accurate forecasting and financial accountability. Strategic Vision Alignment: Support the team in aligning program initiatives with the YMCA's broader strategic goals and community center- based youth experience priorities, working cross-departmentally with membership and child care/youth development teams. Community Event Representation: Partner with each community center to present programming at youth-focused and community engagement events, serving as an ambassador for YMCA programs. Recruitment & Promotion Support: Assist with volunteer, staff, and participant recruitment efforts; contribute to the promotion of youth programs through targeted outreach and marketing support. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages the staff of instructors and facilitators that comprise the branch Group Exercise Leader, Personal Training, & Wellness/Fitness Specialist team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, screening, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising and coaching performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in collaboration with the Executive Director.
