Role Description Position: Animation Distribution Director Location: Irvine, CA (Full-time on-site or partially remote depending on circumstances) As the Animation Distribution Director, you will lead and execute Wanda Studios’ distribution strategy for children’s animation content in North America and Europe. Your primary focus will be securing distribution deals with major international streaming platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, as well as prominent television networks across the US and Europe. Key Responsibilities: Independently develop and implement distribution strategies for children’s animation content targeting North American and European markets Identify, approach, and secure licensing deals with major streaming platforms (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon) and television broadcasters Lead the end-to-end distribution process, including negotiations, contract signing, and payment closure Maintain and expand strong relationships with key industry contacts, leveraging your extensive network of buyers, platforms, and broadcastersProvide s trategic insights on market trends, buyer preferences, and competitive positioning to inform content planningCollabora te closely with internal teams including Production, Legal, Marketing, and Finance to ensure seamless project executionRepresent Wanda Studios at major industry markets and conferences to strengthen brand presence and identify new opportunitiesReport di rectly to the CEO of International Business Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in children’s animation dis tributionProve n track record of successfully securing distribution deals for animation IPs with international streaming platforms and TV broadcastersExten sive industry resources and professional network across North American and European marketsDeep understanding of streaming and television distribution models, deal structures, and buyer requirementsStron g project management skills with the ability to handle multiple distribution projects simultaneouslyExcel lent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsStrat egic thinker with strong analytical and commercial acumenBache lor’s degree in Media, Animation, Business, or related fields; Master’s degree is a plusNative-level E nglish communication is required; proficiency in Chinese or Korean is an advantage for cross-border communication with headquarters and Asia teams Salary & Benefits Wanda Studios is committed to providing highly competitive compensation packages above industry standards, along with comprehensive benefits and unparalleled opportunities for career growth within our fast-expanding international business.
