About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead its accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, including periodic financial reporting, maintenance of accounting records, and cash management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of the company's financial records and compliance with GAAP. The VP, Corporate Controller will also be involved in the AICPA annual audit, developing and implementing financial policies, and leading a high-performing accounting team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial leadership, expertise in GAAP, and experience with accounting software to enhance financial controls.
Applicants for the Vice President, Corporate Controller position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' combined accounting and/or finance experience, with at least 5 years in a financial leadership role. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is required, and experience with US sales tax operations, international taxes, and compliance is highly valued. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in a fast-paced, growing startup environment, particularly in the SaaS, email marketing, or enterprise software sectors. The VP, Corporate Controller will be expected to have a strong background in financial management, including overseeing treasury and tax operations, and be adept at managing an audit from the client side.
