About This Role: Alpine Animal Hospital is looking for a Medical Director to join our team! Alpine Animal Hospital is a general practice located in Mountain View, CA. What Success Looks Like: Clinical Excellence: You'll establish and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care by implementing best practices, guiding medical protocols, and ensuring every patient receives exceptional treatment. Team Leadership: You'll inspire and develop our veterinary team through mentorship, training, and fostering a positive hospital culture where professionals feel valued, supported, and motivated to excel. Strategic Partnership: You'll collaborate with the Hospital Manager and regional leadership to identify growth opportunities, address challenges, and make strategic decisions that enhance both patient care and hospital performance. Quality Assurance: You'll monitor clinical outcomes, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvements to continuously elevate the level of medicine practiced at our hospital. Client Advocacy: You'll ensure exceptional client experiences by guiding communication standards, addressing complex cases or concerns, and fostering trust between our practice and the community we serve. What Makes You a Great Fit: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with current state license and DEA registration Exceptional clinical skills with comprehensive knowledge of veterinary medicine Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring and developing veterinary professionals Strategic thinking with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Outstanding communication skills that inspire confidence in team members and clients Sound business acumen with understanding of veterinary practice operations Adaptability and composure when managing complex situations or competing priorities Collaborative approach to working with hospital leadership and regional teams Genuine compassion for animals and commitment to the highest standards of care Willingness to serve as the veterinary face of the practice in professional and regulatory contexts Education & Experience: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree required Current state veterinary license in good standing Current DEA license required 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred Previous leadership or mentoring experience highly desirable Experience with practice management and team development a plus How We'll Support You: Competitive salary ($180,000 - $225,000 annually) + production Performance Bonus opportunities Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and continuing education support with reimbursement 401(k) with company match Paid license fees, VIN/Plumbs membership, and liability insurance Employee referral program and financial wellness support Relocation assistance available
