Veterinary Receptionist/Veterinary Client Service Representative Full-time Anderson, CA Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $19-22/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location Anderson Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate and highly organized Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. As a CSR, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and play an integral role in delivering excellent customer service. You will interact with pet owners, manage client appointments, provide information on services, and ensure smooth and efficient operation of our front desk. Key Responsibilities: Client Interaction: Greet clients with a friendly, positive attitude both in-person and over the phone. Provide information about the clinic’s services and help clients with questions or concerns
Appointment Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling, confirm appointments, and follow up with clients as needed. Ensure accurate entry of client and pet information in the system
Client Records Management: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records for clients and patients. Ensure all information is properly documented, organized, and updated in the veterinary management system.
Billing and Payments: Process payments for services, handle insurance claims, and ensure accuracy of billing. Provide cost estimates and follow up with clients regarding outstanding payments
Customer Service: Address client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Strive to create a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and their pets
Coordination with Veterinary Team: Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and other clinic staff to ensure excellent patient care and service. Relay relevant information to clients as needed
Inventory and Supplies Management: Assist with inventory tracking, restocking supplies, and managing office resources
Compliance & Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality of client and patient information in accordance with clinic policies and regulations. Maintain compliance with clinic standards of service
What we're looking for
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; some college or relevant coursework is a plus
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or veterinary hospital, preferably in a CSR or veterinary receptionist role
Must have knowledge of veterinary terminology and common animal health procedures
Experience with practice management software, including working confidently with electronic records, scheduling systems, and office software, with the ability to quickly learn clinic specific systems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally, empathetically, and compassionately with clients and team members
Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to a positive clinic culture
Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of veterinary terminology and common animal health procedures
Experience with veterinary practice management software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone)
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation
Must be able to work weekends, or evenings, if necessary
