The Business Valuations Manager or Director will be part of the Valuation Services team and will provide support and related consulting services to clients with an emphasis on Business Valuation. The Valuation Services practice performs valuations of closely held companies, intangible assets, derivatives, and other assets/liabilities for tax and financial statement reporting, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and other purposes. Essential Duties
Essential duties include but are not limited to: Overall daily management of engagement
Design scope of work for engagements
Responsible for quality control and accuracy of client deliverables
Develop and maintain sustainable client and referral relationships
Develop complex financial analyses and financial models
Review and analyze client financial data, market data, industry data, and economic data
Improve internal processes, procedures, policies, analyses, and models
Prepare and review valuation analyses and reports of businesses and equity interests for tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and reorganization, strategic planning, transaction advisory, and litigation purposes
Actively pursue and assist in business development efforts, including collaboration with other PKFOD practices
Supervise, mentor, and develop staff; provide performance feedback and training
Communicate the status of engagements and deliverables on a regular basis Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
ASA and/or CFA designation (or significant progress made towards the designation and expected to be obtained within 2 years) and/or CPA/ABV designation
6+ years business valuation experience (tax, transactional, litigation) with a Big 4, Top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, or national valuation firm
Ability to work independently on multiple engagements simultaneously with competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based environment
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Strong knowledge of corporate finance and financial accounting
Experience working with Capital IQ
Proven ability to effectively interact directly with senior client personnel and key decision-makers
Ability to recognize opportunities for other advisory and compliance services
Testifying experience on valuation matters is a plus
Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables
Local travel to client locations and/or other PKFOD office locations may be required Compensation & Benefits:
