Position Description: Job Summary:
The Uvalde Center Director, reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and is responsible for the day-to-day Uvalde Center Operations; management and direction of the clinical team and services; coordination of community outreach: development and implementation of Center camps and school-based programming as designated in Memorandums of Understanding; coordinates communications, development, and fundraising activities for the Center with the consultation and collaboration of the Chief Development Officer; and oversees the administration, supervision and evaluation reporting for the Uvalde staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
A. Direct Responsibilities/Duties
Participates in hiring and supervision of clinical staff/contractors/graduate level clinicians, Operations manager, and volunteers.
Ensure the clinical treatment program is effectively administered and meets regulatory requirements.
Identify services and support needed to address client problems and needs.
Coordinates professional development, team building and self-care opportunities for staff, clinicians, and volunteers.
Provides site orientation, deliverables and supervision required of graduate level interns and their host institutions.
Writes, edits, and implements program data collection and reporting for all grants received for the Uvalde Center.
Coordinates communications, development, and fundraising with the Chief Development Officer to promote the services at the Uvalde Center.
Works closely with Outreach Coordinator to develop and execute community engagement activities such as grief camps, workshops, and Smart and Art events.
Develops and executes of peer support groups.
Represents the Uvalde Center at professional networking events and attends community galas.
B. Administration
Manages orientation and trainings for clinical staff/contractors/graduate level clinicians and Operations Manager.
Conducts scheduled performance evaluations with site clinicians and Operations Manager.
Provides oversight of budget including approval of all expenditures for timely submission for payment
. Manages training and usage of Apricot, including ensuring client data entry by clinical staff is accurate.
Manages clinician caseloads to comply with licensure and graduate program requirements and standards.
Custodian of Records for the Uvalde Center, primary contact for DFPS and records requests for Uvalde clients.
C. Collaboration
Work closely with the CEO to uphold the core values and principles of CBCSTs culture and create a positive working environment for all team members.
Work closely with CEO on strategic planning goals and objectives specific to the Uvalde Center.
Work closely with Chief Program Officer (CPO) to develop program policies and procedures specific to the Uvalde Center.
Promote the services of the Uvalde Center through development and implementation of Memorandums of Understanding with community partners.
Coordinates programs, services, and activities with all community partners including UCISD, Sacred Heart and St. Philips Episcopal School, or any partners with whom we have a Memorandum of Understanding.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with all HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of all client stories and records.
Must uphold the values of the Center and professional ethics pertaining to Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor.
Other
Communicate effectively with CBCST staff, group facilitators, and clients.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in a relevant field (social work/counseling), Clinical licensure of LPC-S or LCSW-S preferred.
Minimum five years of leadership experience with a proven track record of success.
Demonstrated experience managing a high performing team exhibiting high level of distress management critical for problem solving and crisis situations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent CBCST.
Experience in grief, loss and trauma for children and adults.
Experience in working with diverse and multicultural populations.
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and adept at multi-tasking.
Proficient use of computers, internet, social media, Microsoft Office Suite of grams, and multi-line phone system.
