The Traveling Interim Assisted Living Nursing Director (HealthServices Specialist) will sit in as the Health Services Director in the absenceof one. Foster a non-clinical, resident-centeredapproach to the planning and delivery of services to residents, supporting residents'rights to participate in decision-making and treating residents with dignityand respect. 2. Fulfill the Health Services Director job dutiesduring the absence of a Health Services Director in communities as assigned.When a HSD is hired, train and orient the newly hired Health Services Director. 3. Assess health, functional and psychosocialstatus of residents. Participate in the development of individualized serviceplans. Proactively manage care and services for each resident, maximizing theresident's opportunity to remain in the assisted living environment. 4. Collaborate with the Management team on theadvisability of accepting any prospective resident, taking into considerationthe needs of the prospective resident, current community acuity and staffinglevels. Provide in-person pre-move in assessments if deemed necessary. 5. Ensure that residents' care needs are met bycoordinating care services with other community professionals, includingphysicians, discharge planners, nurses, home health agency staff, casemanagers, and state agency personnel. Oversee the arrangement of ancillaryservices such as pharmacy, podiatry, lab, and x-ray as needed. 6. Delegate nursing tasks as allowed underapplicable state nursing laws and practice acts, communicating regularly withresidents, their families, and their health care practitioners. 7. Provide initial and on-going training of staffin the area of health-related services including but not limited to providingpersonal care and medication management. 8. Communicate regularly with residents' familiesregarding health care needs. Provide instruction and reassurance to residentsand families in maintaining health and managing medical conditions. Education & Experienceyou need to qualify: You will need a Associate Degree in Nursing, orBachelor of Science in Nursing, with at least 1 year of experience as a healthservices leader in the Assisted Living industry.
