Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director in Nursing Management to oversee acute care operations. This leadership role ensures high standards of patient care, staff management, and regulatory compliance within the nursing division. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, communication, and operational skills to manage the daily functions of a dynamic clinical environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the nursing unit in an acute care setting.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities, including staff supervision, patient care coordination, and administrative functions.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance.
  • Support and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Proficient in staff management and performance evaluation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing best practices and regulatory standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and operational goals
  • Skilled in crisis management and conflict resolution
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably MEDITECH
  • Competence in quality improvement and risk management strategies
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
