You’ll work closely with an outstanding team of producers, engineers, and journalists to create clean, visually compelling live broadcasts and dynamic streaming productions that make an impact. What You’ll Do Direct fast-paced live and streamed newscasts and special programming using Sony switchers, ELC automation, and cutting-edge production tools. Operate and maintain broadcast and streaming systems, including Blackmagic Design ATEM switchers, Chyron graphics, audio boards, and prompter software. Bring your creative vision to life, helping shape the look and feel of news, sports, weather, and special event coverage across broadcast and streaming channels. Collaborate closely with newsroom and engineering teams to optimize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation for both traditional and streaming audiences. Maintain a high bar for technical excellence, consistency, and visual storytelling across all platforms. Stay ahead of the curve by introducing new production techniques that enhance storytelling and the streaming experience for viewers. What We’re Looking For At least 1 year of hands-on experience directing live television, digital, and/or streaming productions. Proficiency with Sony and Blackmagic production switchers, ELC automation systems, and Chyron graphics. Outstanding communication skills, with a team-first mentality. Calm under pressure — you love the excitement of live TV and streaming events and can juggle multiple tasks with precision. Strong technical background and attention to detail, including knowledge of video/audio signal flow, control room operations, and streaming workflows. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as news demands. A positive, solutions-oriented attitude that helps build a strong, collaborative culture. Bonus Points If You Have Prior experience as a director or Technical Director, particularly with live-streamed productions. Familiarity with newsroom scripting software like ENPS or iNews. Experience with control room automation systems like ELC.
